News: More large trout stocked this week in area lakes
By Bill Monroe For The Oregonian/OregonLive
Large brood trout, some weighing 10 or more pounds, will be stocked this week in Albany, Canby and Henry Hagg Lake near Forest Grove.
Brood trout are used in state hatcheries to produce catchable trout, but unlike salmon don't die after they're spawned. Instead, they're "recycled" into waters open for year-round fishing.
In Albany, Timber Linn and Waverly lakes will each receive 70 of the large trout.
Henry Hagg Lake will get 116.
