Fishing Report: Garibaldi success Sep 6
Every once in a great while, success comes quick and early to the dedicated angler. Fishing out of Garibaldi with my friend Jim in his 19’ Arima was one of those days. We began Friday’s fishing trolling south of the entrance, with cut plug herring fishing on the bottom. It was not very long before I had a chinook on. A few minutes later, one in the box! Within the next thirty minutes, I had another chinook on, two in the box! I am still somewhat stunned, I was limited by 7:30 a.m. Jim got one nice chinook, and we lost a few others before calling it a day.
Typical of Garibaldi, hot one day, not the next, on Saturday Jim caught a nice chinook, and I had no success. I am o.k. with that, the Friday success will remain a vivid memory for years to come.
