Fishing Report: Garibaldi Mar 21st and 22nd

March 22nd Took Dave and his son Chris, pictured above, fishing Sunday morning out of Garibaldi. The bar was closed until 10:00 a.m. so we fished in the bay until then with no success. Wanted to go to Three Arches, but it was too late, we fished off the north jetty instead. We managed to catch four sea bass, no ling cod, and headed in before 1:00 p.m. Literally, as we were docking the boat, coast guard came on channel 22 and said conditions on the bar are deteriorating, and it will be closed in an hour or so. I am very glad I decided not to go south, safety is always the first priority. The crabbing is very poor at this point, both in the bay and the ocean.
