Fishing Report: May 14 & 15th Garibaldi Crabbing
Headed down to Garibaldi Thursday evening, knowing that the ocean forecast would dictate us crabbing in the bay both Friday and Saturday. Crabbing in the bay is fun, and can be productive, although given the option I would always rather crab in the ocean. On Friday we got twenty keepers from pulling six pots one time, on Saturday we got fourteen keeper crab for pulling six pots two times.
It is really nice to have the travel trailer located in the Port of Garibaldi, from crabbing to boiling crab within minutes. We are really looking forward to June 12th, the first day of the selective coho fishing season. This entitles anglers to keep two salmon per day, any chinook, and fin clipped coho. All native coho must be released, be sure to check the regulations for updates before you go fishing.
