Garibaldi Sep 10th, 11th, 12th

Went down to Garibaldi Friday night with my wife. Set out 3 pots north of the north jetty on Saturday morning, and were planning to fish for a few hours while the pots soaked. About 5 minutes into fishing, Coast Guard reported conditions worsening and recommened all mariners cross the bar at this time. We left the pots in overnight to retrieve on Sunday morning.

Sunday morning we picked up the pots before fishing, I was concerned conditions may not let us pick them up after fishing. We had 2 limits out of the first 2 pots and “dumped” all the crabs out of the third pot. We fished for an hour or so, and my wife Dawn caught a nice coho in about 140’ of water. Conditions were rough, so we called it a day and headed back to the dock.

On Monday my friend Troy joined me, and we headed to about 270’ off of Twin Rocks, we got our four coho, and lost several others. Spinfish, 3.0 Lemon Head Glow, 35’ on line counter, produced the best.
