Saturday June 29th Coho and LingCod

Target: Salmon and ling cod

Catch: 4 coho, 4 ling cod

Fishermen / boat: Glen and Todd on Glen’s Weldcraft

Left dock at 5:30 a.m. , returned to dock 1:00 p.m.

Rigging: Spinfish 3.0 and 4.0 Lemon Head Glo Ling cod: baseball bat jigs

Conditions: Calm

Fished about 200’ Northwest of Twin Rocks, same setups. I had an incredible morning. Tagged my first coho at 6:42 a.m. and my second at 6:48 a.m. Todd had one keeper coho, several natives released and takedowns missed, then we decided to run up to Cannon Beach around 10:00 a.m., had heard about a good ling cod bite. Got our four ling cod in about 10 minutes of fishing. Then we ran back down off of Manzanita, and Todd caught his second hatchery coho.
