Fishing Report: Morning Jul 4th, no excitement

Had heard of some salmon being caught by HOC, so launched out of St. Johns about 5:30 a.m.  Could not believe the parking lot was about half full at that time.  Hundreds of boats and several guide boats fishing the area, along the barges, close to entrance of channel, etc.  Had five rods deployed, with pro trolls and Simon spinners.  Fished till about 1:00 p.m.  Did not get one take down.  Did not see any fish caught.  Did here of maybe 2 or 3 caught during the day.  Went fishing with Chad and Michael, it was a nice day, but very slow fishing.
