Fishing Report Garibaldi Coho and bottom fishing Jun 23

Saturday night had my friends Mark and Chad come down and stay in the RV. We got up early Sunday and starting fishing for coho again. This was much slower than Saturday, and although we caught maybe 7 fish, and lost a few more, they all had too many fins. At about 10:30 we decided to head to Three Arches to try our luck at bottom fishing. This fishing was fairly slow, not surprising given our late start, but we did manage three ling cod, a nice copper rock fish, one sea bass, and released a big cabezon. We had dropped 4 pots on our way out, which resulted in 16 keeper crab, better than Saturday. They head back to Portland after getting the crab and fished cleaned up, I headed for a nap.

My wife and I headed back to Portland Monday morning after having a wonderful breakfast at the Parkside Restaurant and Lounge, an easy five minute walk from the marina. Looking forward to returning next weekend and searching for more fish and crab.
