Saturday June 1st Bottom Fishing

Target: Bottom fish

Catch: 6 ling cod, 3 sea bass

Three Fishermen on Hey Nineteen with Captain Todd 

Left dock at 5:30 a.m. , returned to dock about 12:30

Rigging: Shrimp Flies, Baseball Bat Jigs, Copper Pipe Jigs

Conditions: Very calm ocean, light rain, winds started to pick up about 12:00 p.m.

Went down to Three Arches, caught limit of six ling cod, but only found three sea bass. After we limited on ling cod, we caught some really nice bigger ones which were released. Interesting that we downsized our presentation to target the sea bass and caught more lings than with bigger jigs, etc. earlier when we were targeting the lings. Did not drop any crab pots as crabbing reports have been very poor.
